How can studying science help feed the world? AIFSRC Staff Mellissa Wood and Emma Zalcman joined year 9, 10 and 11 students from Domremy College in Sydney via Skype to discuss how the work of AIFSRC is helping to improve food security for some of the world’s poorest people. Students have recently been learning about global food production and distribution and were interested to know more about how Australian scientific expertise is helping to address food insecurity in Africa and elsewhere. The students in attendance have a particular interest in studying science and certainly impressed Emma and Mellissa with their questions and comments!
